>It's important to have an up-to-date email address. Can we still reach you at email
-Since a few days, I'm getting a weird (and rather annoyingly large) pop-up in the upper part of the pages of my account, and I'm questioning the ''legitimacy'' of such thing.
I mean... why ? Why now ? Why asking me, if email
@ is still my email AND asking me to confirm it, or to change it ?
Surely, I'm not the only one who get that message ?
I'm here since almost 6 years now, so why the hell do a random ''check'' about my email *NOW* ?
Does DA has a problem with their emails list or something ?
I can't find much information right now.
For a screenshot (Another person. Not my account) : oi39.tinypic.com/2n1b0w5.jpg
(From that other person's Journal, I also heard that the thing ASK you for your password to confirm your email. So far, I personally didn't dare click on such a stupid ''trap'' and/or bad practice(if for real).)
If at least there had been a 'DA News thingy' mentionning those ''random checks''(a few people I talked to say they haven't got that message/pop-up), unless I missed it ?)
EDIT : 11 January 2014.
New year. New stuff happening. New 'DA being an annoying ass with their unannounced-random-arbitrary-!!!MANDATORY AND INESCAPABLE!!!(For f*ck sake)' confirmation of Email address...

If anyone know where I can file a complain to DA about that dumb *FORCED* ''request'', please, let me know.
I'm sure MANY people would also love to know and file complaints about that. -_-
(Mmh... I wonder, if I could set AdBlock to auto-block that BIG-ASS yellowish box that DA is shoving in our face ? It's worth a try.)
Using the 'Examine element' right-click option, from Firefox, you can delete that yellowish box on the page you are currently in.
Of course, this is very short-term solution, as it reappears as soon as you refresh the page.
Still... maybe someone can make a '1 line' thingy that people can add to AdBlock, to block that box from appearing on the page ?
OuterHTML : Look for the line below, on the left side of the thingy that appears, when you use 'Examine element'(Firefox).

EDIT 2 : 10 July 2014
Holy freaking gods ?! Come on now ! AGAIN ?
Yearly before, now it's every 6 months ? What next... MONTHLY ?
Seriously, what the hell is DA's paranoid problem with confirming Emails in a *shadowy and second-handed* way ?
Can anyone direct me to where I must go to question this practice and possibly make a formal complaint ?
That would be useful.
